The Lindenhurst Park District this past year determined to recognize on a larger scale, those individuals, organizations, and governmental bodies that have continuously contributed their time and resources for the Lindenhurst Park District and particularly our community. Once this was determined, the Lindenhurst Park District submitted a Community Services Individual/Group, to the Statewide Organization of the Illinois Association of Park Districts and Illinois Park and Recreation Association. Both organizations concurred with the Lindenhurst Park District and presented the recognition plaques to Lindenhurst Park District Executive Director, Dave Mohr, at the recent Illinois Park and Recreation Association Conference in Chicago, Illinois.
On June 3, 2018, the Lindenhurst Park District presented the 2017 Community Service Award to Jim and Barb Stout; for their years of support through cooperation and volunteerism to the Lindenhurst Community. They have supported a wide variety of Lindenhurst Park District projects and events, and are actively involved
in making our community better and more responsive. Through their efforts, our community has benefited.
