The Illinois Association of Park Districts and Illinois Park and Recreation Association have presented a 2016 Community Service Award to the Derrick Family (Tommy, Susie, Mackenzie, Bailey, and Chloe), for their outstanding contributions to the Lindenhurst Park District.
Over the years the Derrick Family has provided community wide involvement through regular volunteerism, cooperation, and sponsorship through resources, at various Park District events and projects. This award was presented at the local level at a Regular Meeting of the Board of Park Commissioners on March 14, 2017.
