The “2016 Roland Wetzel Lindenhurst Youth Soccer League Scholarships” were recently presented to qualified recipients, who played, volunteered and/or worked in the Lindenhurst Park District In-House Youth Soccer Program (LYSL), in the amounts of $250.00 per scholarships.
“Roland Wetzel Lindenhurst Youth Soccer League Scholarship Program” was initiated by the former LYSL Executive Board in 1991 as a way to honor Ron Wetzel for his dedication to our soccer program. The scholarship is based on criteria related to the Lindenhurst Park District In-House Youth soccer Program and scholarship funds will be earmarked for the recipient’s college education.
