2025 Season Information
The Lindenhurst Park District is home to 19 parks developed to provide a variety of amenities including shelters and athletic fields available for seasonal rental. Fees help keep the shelters and fields clean and in working order at these picturesque parks.
Groups of 15 or more must secure a permit before their visit.
All shelters include picnic tables, shared restrooms, and ample parking. Grilling is permitted; however, grills are not provided. Renters may bring a portable electric or propane grill if it is 24 inches off the ground. Charcoal grills are prohibited.
Reservations begin March 3, 2025. Rentals begin on April 15 and end on October 15. Rent anytime from 10am-sunset.
Reservations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations may be placed in person or via phone. A credit card number must be provided to keep on file for the $100 security deposit. All rental fees must be paid in full two weeks prior to your rental. Ask about our pricing for school districts, community groups, and commercial businesses.

Linden’s Landing Park Shelter – 2100 Sprucewood Lane; located on the shores of Lake Linden.
Accommodates groups of up to 50
Features include: A shower tower, shared beach, sand volleyball, and boat launch. Catch and release fishing is permitted.

Features include: Shared playground, ball diamond, soccer field, half-court basketball, sand volleyball, pickleball/tennis courts, and electricity.

Parkman Pavilion
Parkman Pavilion – 2200 E. Grass Lake Road
Available to rent from April 13-October 13 from 8:00am-sunset.

Parkman Pavilion in Engle Memorial Park is a beautiful outdoor venue for ceremonies, parties, or performances.
Features include: A covered stage (approximately 20’x 30′) with electricity available. There is lawn seating for approximately 100, with additional seating on the grass and six picnic tables.

Oak Ridge Park Picnic Area

Accommodates groups of up to 50
Features include: Our Splash Pad Spray Park is filled with multiple fountains, rotating turtle and frog sprayers, a manual-spin sprinkler, overhead water-dumping beehives, a spray ring, and mushrooms with cascading water showers, full restrooms, picnic tables, and a pavilion where parents have a full view of the entire spray park. Take a walk down the pathway that winds quietly away from the spray park, and you’ll find the sand play and picnic area. The sand play area doubles as an archaeological dig site, complete with dinosaur bones, for kids to explore! The area near the dig site is completely shaded with picnic tables and a bench. This serene picnic area with a grassy ground cover is a great place to extend your celebration! Oak Ridge Park is also equipped with soccer and activity fields as well as paved trails connected to Lake County Forest Preserve for walking, jogging, and cycling. The park boasts a beginner-friendly 9-hole disc golf course that is arranged throughout a lightly wooded natural setting. Grilling is not permitted.

Outdoor Court/Field Rentals
The Lindenhurst Park District has outdoor fields and courts available to rent!
Throughout Lindenhurst, you will find tennis courts, basketball courts, pickleball courts, sand volleyball courts, full and youth-sized soccer fields, baseball and softball fields, and open turf. Open turf is versatile and perfect for all types of outdoor recreation.
The Lindenhurst Park District requires a Rental Permit or Special Use Permit for any gathering of 15 people or more at any Lindenhurst Park District park, shelter, field, or facility. Additionally, any organized groups and/or businesses may not conduct classes/camps/practices/rehearsals/training/meetings on Park District Property, regardless of group size, without a Rental or Special Use Permit.
