COVID-19/Tier 1 Updates
Tier 1 Resurgence Mitigation Updates
On Monday, January 25, 2021, IDPH announced that Region 9 (Lake and Mchenry counties) would move to Tier 1 Resurgence Mitigations under Phase 4 Guidance beginning Tuesday, January 26, 2021. IDPH will continue to track the positivity rates and hospital capacity metrics in regions over 14-day monitoring periods to determine if mitigations can be relaxed if additional mitigations are required, or if current mitigations should remain in place. If a region again experiences a sustained resurgence of COVID-19 with Tier 1 mitigations in place, a return to stricter measures may be necessary to curtail the further spread.

COVID-19/Tier 2 Updates
Tier 2 Resurgence Mitigations Updates
On Friday, January 16, 2021, Governor Pritzker announced that Region 9 (Lake and Mchenry counties) would unfortunately not be moving out of Tier 3, thus preventing us from holding in-person programming within our facilities. Then, on Monday, January 18, 2021, IDPH announced that region 9 will move to Tier 2 Resurgence Mitigations under Phase 4 Guidance. IDPH will continue to track the positivity rates and hospital capacity metrics in regions over 14-day monitoring periods to determine if mitigations can be relaxed if additional mitigations are required, or if current mitigations should remain in place. Tier 2 mitigations may be applied to regions that are experiencing a sustained resurgence of COVID-19 or regions that have been under more stringent Tier 3 mitigations but have not yet achieved metrics that allow for a resumption of either Tier 1 or Phase 4 Restore Illinois activities. If a region again experiences a sustained resurgence of COVID-19 with Tier 2 mitigations in place, a return to stricter measures may be necessary to curtail the further spread.
