Covid-19/Phase 4 Updates!

February 3, 2021

Phase 4 Updates

On Wednesday, February 3, 2021, IDPH announced that Region 9 (Lake and Mchenry counties) would move to Phase 4 Guidance beginning Wednesday, February 3, 2021.  IDPH will continue to track the positivity rates and hospital capacity metrics in regions over 14-day monitoring periods to determine if mitigations can be relaxed if additional mitigations are required, or if current mitigations should remain in place. If a region again experiences a sustained resurgence of COVID-19 with mitigations in place, a return to stricter measures may be necessary to curtail the further spread.

For more details on the Restore Illinois Mitigation Plan please, visit https://www.dph.illinois.gov/regionmetrics?regionID=9

COVID-19/Tier 2 Updates

January 19, 2021

Tier 2 Resurgence Mitigations Updates

On Friday, January 16, 2021, Governor Pritzker announced that Region 9 (Lake and Mchenry counties) would unfortunately not be moving out of Tier 3, thus preventing us from holding in-person programming within our facilities.  Then, on Monday, January 18, 2021, IDPH announced that region 9 will move to Tier 2 Resurgence Mitigations under Phase 4 Guidance.  IDPH will continue to track the positivity rates and hospital capacity metrics in regions over 14-day monitoring periods to determine if mitigations can be relaxed if additional mitigations are required, or if current mitigations should remain in place. Tier 2 mitigations may be applied to regions that are experiencing a sustained resurgence of COVID-19 or regions that have been under more stringent Tier 3 mitigations but have not yet achieved metrics that allow for a resumption of either Tier 1 or Phase 4 Restore Illinois activities. If a region again experiences a sustained resurgence of COVID-19 with Tier 2 mitigations in place, a return to stricter measures may be necessary to curtail the further spread.

Remain in Tier 3 Resurgence Mitigations-as of 1/15/21

January 18, 2021

Dear Lindenhurst Park District Friends,

On Friday, January 15, 2021, our region (Lake County-9) will remain in Tier 3 Mitigations issued by the Governor’s office.  Unfortunately, we will be unable to return to in-person programming or expanded gym activities at this time.  Our Engle Junction Preschool and Before & After School E-Learning Program will run as usual.  For all the details, please check under About Us/Covid-19 Updates.

However, we do encourage everyone in our community to remain hopeful that soon things will be back to normal.  In the meantime please stay active and healthy and continue to enjoy our outdoor amenities as the weather allows.  Visit one of our 19 named park sites, find a hill and sled, or take a walk and, enjoy the beautiful winter landscapes.

Stay healthy/happy and safe.

Your friends at the LPD
