Engle Junction Preschool (8:45am-11:45am-MWF and 8:45am-9:15am-Tu/Th) will be resuming in-person classes at the Park District beginning on Monday, January 4.
Our E-Learning Program which meets 8:00am-3:00pm will resume January 4, 2021. Registration will be available starting on Monday, December 7th – Monday, December 28th through Amilia.
Reservations can be booked online anytime or by calling our Guest Services Manager, Lori Friedl at 847.356.6011 during normal business hours. Your time slot is booked in one-hour increments with no monies due at the time of reservation. If you have a pass you will have your card punched or pay at the registration desk at the time of check-in.
Interested participants will need an Amilia account and will log in and then follow the directions below:
When you arrive at the Lindenhurst Park District to check-in please ring the main entrance doorbell and sign in and pay or have your card punched. You will be required to wear a mask when traveling through the facility but will not be required to while working out. There will be a maximum of 2 people permitted during each hour time slot to maintain social distance. PLEASE NOTE: this is just for the use of the Track and Fitness Equipment and DOES NOT apply to Open Gym at this time.
Registration begins November 30 at 9am for our #playathome All Things Gingerbread Activity Kits! Register online at www.lindenhurstparks.org now until December 18 at 5pm or until sold out. Kits include a Gingerbread House Decorating Kit, Gingerbread Men crafts and games, hot cocoa, and candy canes for the entire crew – some extra surprises have been added as well! Pick-up will begin on Friday, December 4 during normal business hours at the LPD Community Center. Just pull up-ring the bell with your mask on and we will bring out all the fun. If you have any questions, please email kkohler@lindenhurstparks.org or call 847.356.6011.
Tier 3 Resurgence Mitigations Updates
With COVID-19 surging across the state of Illinois, Governor Pritzker announced yesterday that beginning
November 20, 2020, at 12:01am all eleven regions across the state, including region nine (Lake and Mchenry
counties) will enter into Tier 3 Resurgence Mitigations under Phase 4 Guidance.
The Illinois Department of Public Health will continue to track the positivity rates and hospital capacity
metrics in all regions over a 14-day monitoring period to determine if mitigations in region nine can be
relaxed, additional mitigations required, or current mitigation remains in place. In order to move to Tier 2
Mitigation, our region must experience less than 12-percent test positivity rate for three consecutive days AND
greater than 20-percent available ICU and hospital beds AND declining COVID hospitalizations in 7 out of
last 10 days.
What does this mean for the Lindenhurst Park District facilities and programs? Beginning November 20,
2020, the following changes, cancellations, and closings will be effective:
