Phase 4 Updates
On Wednesday, February 3, 2021, IDPH announced that Region 9 (Lake and Mchenry counties) would move to Phase 4 Guidance beginning Wednesday, February 3, 2021. IDPH will continue to track the positivity rates and hospital capacity metrics in regions over 14-day monitoring periods to determine if mitigations can be relaxed if additional mitigations are required, or if current mitigations should remain in place. If a region again experiences a sustained resurgence of COVID-19 with mitigations in place, a return to stricter measures may be necessary to curtail the further spread.
