NEW Esports Program!
The Lindenhurst Park District has joined forces with GGLeauges, an online esports gaming company, to offer a new program, the Esports Club. Our club offers players a safe and fun way to participate in a community activity from home.
We are excited to offer this great new opportunity to the area. Not only will the esports experience provide players with a safe alternative to getting together in person, but it also provides a great opportunity to compete in an environment for those that may not be able to or choose not to play in traditional sports. Joining our club will provide you with access to SAFE and FUN esports competitions, educational opportunities for parents and gamers, and you will be the first to know about new leagues and upcoming events. GGLeagues have trained support admins and referees who will be present to enforce the rules, ensure the safety of all players, and most importantly make sure everyone is having a great time. We have a place for players of all ages and gaming backgrounds.
Registration is now open! Register at GGLeagues.com or scan the QR Code below and enter 60046.

Park Board Members Service Anniversaries-Awards Gala!
The Lindenhurst Park District Board of Park Commissioners President-Dean Parkman, Vice-President-Todd Solbrig, and Treasurer-James Stout were recognized on Friday, October 15, 2021, at the Illinois Association of Park Districts The Best of the Best Awards Gala for their years of dedicated service to the Lindenhurst Park District.
President Parkman-30 Years of Service
Dean Parkman-I moved to Lindenhurst with my family in 1981 when I was assigned to the U.S. Army Recruiting Command at Fort Sheridan. I retired from the Army in 1988 after serving 20 years as an Infantry Officer. After completion of law school in 1991, I started my second carer as an attorney with the Department of Veteran Affairs from 1992-2007. I have three sons, Shane, Jon, and Dean, two granddaughters, a grandson, and a great-granddaughter, and my wife Bonnie. I became a Park Commissioner in 1991. At that time the Park District had an office in the Village Hall. Since I have been on the Park Biard the district has completed many major projects including Phase I and II of the Community Center, acquisition and development of Millennium and Oak Ridge Park, and most recently a new playground in front of the Community Center to name a few.
Vice President Solbrig-20 Years of Service
Todd Solbrig-My wife Debbie and I moved from southern California to Lindenhurst, and we both enjoy being part of this community. I am currently employed as a scientist at Abbott Laboratories and Debbie runs her own insurance agency. We have three sons, Mason, Dalton, and Brody who have participated in many of the Park District activities, including preschool and various sports programs. My role with the Park District started out as a member of an advisory panel before the second phase of the Community Center was built in 2001. I learned that there was an opening on the Board of Park Commissioners and I decided to give it a try. I have really enjoyed the experience and have now served on the Park Board for 20 years. It has been great to participate in the continued growth of the District. We are always looking for new opportunities and creative ways to serve the resident of Lindenhurst and the surrounding communities.
Treasurer-Stout-20 Years of Service
James Stout-My wife, Barb, and I moved to Lindenhurst in 1990 with our two daughters Cathy and Betsy, and now have three granddaughters. I am a retired Union Tradesman. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my granddaughters, golfing, and helping others. I first got involved with the Park District by volunteering for the Haunted Trail & Bonfire and currently still do! This is still by far my favorite special event. I became a Park Board Commissioner in 2001. I have been actively involved with Lindenfest, and coordinated the former Police Athletic Basketball League also known as the “Pig League”. I am an active Lions Club member, and currently a Lake Villa Fire Protection District Trustee since 2008.
