Coach Phelan's Basketball Camp

Coach Phelan, Former Varsity Boys Head Coach of the successful Lakes Eagles Basketball program, will teach and reinforce the fundamentals of basketball. The program will cover ball handling, shooting, passing, rebounding and defense through drills and scrimmages. This is a must attend camp to help accelerate your basketball skills on the court.

Little Dunkers

Jump! Pass! Shoot! Score! Boys and Girls, get ready to learn the basics of basketball in this fundamental program. In this class simple fundamentals skills will be taught. Each participant will learn the basics of dribbling, passing, shooting. Teamwork, good sportsmanship, and fun will also be stressed.

Girls 3rd-8th Grade Basketball League

This Basketball League offers opportunities for all skill levels. This program will teach teamwork, fair play, rules of the game, as well as shooting, passing and dribbling. All games will be played at the Lindenhurst Park District Community Center Gymnasium. Player evaluations will take place on October 2nd at the following times; 3rd and 4th grade @10:00am, 5th thru 8th grade @11:00am, at the Community Center Gym. Any questions parents may have will be answered at these evaluations. Games will be played on Saturday (game times to vary) with a possible one practice during the week either on Monday or Wednesday, depending on availability. Gym shoes, white socks, and black shorts must be worn. The Park District will provide each participant with a t-shirt. VOLUNTEER COACHES NEEDED, league will not be possible without volunteers. Co-Rec 1st/2nd Grade Basketball

This class/league is designed to be enjoyable for all skill levels. The skills learned will be reinforced through scrimmages. Each participant will practice for 20-30 minutes and then play scrimmages. Teamwork, good sportsmanship, and fun will also be stressed.

3rd Annual Turkey Shoot

Hey Mom, don’t buy that turkey bird yet! Come to the 3rd Annual Lindenhurst Park District Turkey Shoot. Teams will be made up of one parent and one child, and will be grouped by grade level. Each competitor will shoot 10 free throws and the combined number of baskets made will be the team score. Winners in each grade level will receive a gift certificate for a turkey! You must pre-register; deadline is Friday, November 12th.
