It is the goal of Engle Junction Preschool to provide a safe and nurturing learning environment where each child and family is recognized and appreciated. Our curriculum is founded on the belief that children learn best through creative play and exploration. Thus our classrooms and curriculum have been carefully designed to promote varied learning experiences. Children participate in individual, small group, and whole group activities on a daily basis.
Engle Junction Preschool strives to prepare our preschoolers for elementary school by incorporating activities into our program that promote development of social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and language skills. Our teachers recognize the unique learning styles, needs, and interests of each child and work diligently to offer learning experiences that are developmentally appropriate considering our students' ages, individual needs, and social and cultural contexts.

2012-2013 Enrollment
Registration packets will be made available to the public on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 and are due no later than February 1, 2012. There will be a non-refundable $35 registration fee payable by check or credit card due at this time. The Park District will conduct three lotteries—one for returning preschool children and families, one for residents of the Park District, and one for non-residents of the Park District. Class rosters will be posted on February 10, 2012. A one-month tuition deposit must be paid by March 5, 2012 to secure your space if you were placed on a class roster. September tuition will be due by the first day of class. Please note: your registration fee will only be applied if your child is placed on a roster. In the event that your child was not added to a roster your will automatically be added to a waiting list (in random order) and notified if a space becomes available. If you will not be attending Engle Junction Preschool, we need to be notified by August 1, 2012. After August 1st, your tuition deposit will be forfeited. Should you need to withdraw during the school year, your tuition deposit will be used as your last month’s payment IF we are given a 30-day written notice. Preschool for the 2012/2013 school year will begin on Tuesday, September 4th and Wednesday, September 5th. All children will need to submit a birth certificate and medical form signed by his or her physician and be able to use the restroom independently by the first day of class.
