Engle Junction Preschool... All Aboard!

It is the goal of Engle Junction Preschool to provide a safe and nurturing learning environment where each child and family is recognized and appreciated.  Our curriculum is founded on the belief that children learn best through creative play and exploration.  Thus our classrooms and curriculum have been carefully designed to promote varied learning experiences.  Children participate in individual, small group, and whole group activities on a daily basis.

Engle Junction Preschool strives to prepare our preschoolers for elementary school by incorporating activities into our program that promote development of social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and language skills.  Our teachers recognize the unique learning styles, needs, and interests of each child and work diligently to offer learning experiences that are developmentally appropriate considering our students' ages, individual needs, and social and cultural contexts.

2010-2011 Registration:

Registration packets were made available to the public on Monday, January 4, 2010. A lottery was held and classes were filled, however, there may be spots still available.

Engle Junction Preschool is now accepting walk-in registrations.  Registration packets are available at the Community Center at 2200 East Grass Lake Road.  If you are interested in visiting our preschool classes, checking availability, or would like some more information, please call Julie Rushmeyer at 847.356.6011, ext. 108. 

Preschool for the 2010/2011 school year will begin on Tuesday, September 7th and Wednesday, September 8th. All children will need to submit a birth certificate and medical form signed by his or her physician by the first day of class.  Children must be the appropriate age for the class by September 1, 2010.  All students must be toilet trained.  The regular use of diapers or pull-ups is not permitted.        

Please Note:  Families choosing to withdraw from preschool must submit their request in writing.  Should you submit a written request to withdraw from preschool prior to August 2, 2010, the tuition deposit, less a $5.00 processing fee, will be refunded.  Should you submit a written request to withdraw from preschool after August 2, 2010 but prior to the first day of preschool, a 50% tuition deposit refund will be issued.  Should you withdraw from preschool during the school year, we will use your tuition deposit as your last monthly payment IF we are given thirty (30) days written notice.
