The Tempel Lipizzans Performance

The Tempel Lipizzans Performance

The Lipizzaner horse is one of the oldest breeds in Europe and is now considered an endangered domestic animal. In the late 1950ís Temple and Esther Smith attended a performance of the Spanish Riding School in Vienna. They were so impressed with the magnificent animals that they set out on a journey that still continues to this date. In 1982 the first public performance was held in Old Mill Creek and is where we will attend a breathtaking performance. We will enjoy a boxed lunch and dessert, sandwich selection to follow. The performance is an outdoor event which offers covered seating. Once the performance is completed you may take a self-guided tour around the arena area.

Trip includes transportation by Park District Bus, show, lunch, and self-guided tour. Moderate to extensive walking.
